Rank this week’s Netherlander into the top 5!
Goodmorning everybody! I will be your curator this week , I will tell you all about myself in a couple of minutes; first I need coffee 🙂
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
My name is Evelyne (Eef in short); 36 years old, living in Utrecht, working as communications officer at Utrecht University.
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
@laurahompus Yes I do, we meet almost every week! What's your connection with @toscajanssens ?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
@KenbieMac The prizes in the canteen here at work are too ;-).
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
I lived in Germany for 8 years and moved back to Holland about 5 years ago. Missed the Dutch 'lockerheit' too much :-).
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
Are there any Germans among the followers?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
@peopleofuganda @curatezar @hellofrmsg @jo_annabell @netherlanders @peopleofnz @robbo_junior @sweden @weareczech @wearefrance Goodmorning!
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
Ok, some more info about me: I love to write, have my own blog (if you like to read some, follow @EefHermans) and I'm a fan of #Prince .
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
In Germany, it astonished me that teachers call students by their last names. It's weird to be called 'Miss …' when you're so young :-).
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
Hm, so is Holland the only country where teachers call their students by their first name, without being disrespectful? @acejacek @RegNom
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
Haha, same here! RT @Katem037: nope, Canada used first names too. In fact, we know we're in trouble when you hear 'Mr/Miss' in our schools
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
Last facts about me: I have a 2 year old daughter and I'm 34 weeks pregnant of a son. Next week I'll be on maternity leave for 4 months.
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
The prospect of being away from work for more than 4 months is very comforting, although I think it will be hard work at home too :-).
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
Very funny that we all have children the same age! RT @TWkUSA: @CurateZAR Apparently this is expectant parent week on #rotationcuration…
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
Enjoy your dinner! http://t.co/GxJIT6qmc8 This chicken curry was made by my husband, because I can't cook 🙂
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 4, 2013
'Morning! Holland awakes from hibernation; it even was a big item on Dutch newschannels yesterday evening that it's gonna be 11-14 degrees!
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
Good question! I don't know anybody who does 🙂 RT @iam_pakistan: Does anybody really care about LinkedIn Premium?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
For the curators who are about to become parents soon, some ideas for first clothing 😉 http://t.co/4kTmDFPuxG or http://t.co/gH9mGQKPKJ
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
View from my working space http://t.co/WInoMfxikG Note the blue sky in left corner 🙂 RT @WeAreCzech Guys, post a picture of your weather
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
I ate at my mom's today. It didn't taste very good. It rarely does, but I can't tell her, can I? Isn't that something you just don't do?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
No! Last year, she won a tablet and asked if we needed it in our kitchen 🙂 RT @krijnenbeebie @Netherlanders is your mom on twitter?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
I am. Especially with my mom, because she's so cute 🙂 RT @jonathanavt What happened to this Dutch directness thing? Are we actually polite?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
@skevheten Wow, that sounds very liberating!
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
My compromise is: I'm not mentioning how it tasted, but I ALWAYS thank her! RT @WeAreCzech Do not say it! "It was good mom, thank you!" 🙂
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
Besides the bad cooking, my mom is adorable, by the way :-).
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 5, 2013
Today is my day off, but how can you enjoy doing nothing, knowing that so many things have to be done?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 6, 2013
Good to hear this from a professional 🙂 RT @KenbieMac doing nothing is productive. I specialize in R&R Engineering. Trust me, I know this.
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 6, 2013
Good lord, I walked two hours with my daughter today, with a belly the size of a (big) watermelon. Feel like an 80-year old wreck right now.
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 6, 2013
But it was still worth it #spring
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 6, 2013
That other Dutch city of inspirations must be Utrecht then 🙂 RT @tentangEropa Hello, Amsterdam @FaktaBelanda 🙂 http://t.co/bs3EfgjgUY
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 7, 2013
Hi @Adelheid16 and @CopperBronzed , I obviously like that saying "if you ain't Dutch…" ;-).
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 7, 2013
Watching tv: am I the only one who thinks the Chanel add with Brad is almost funny – that bad? #inevitable
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 7, 2013
Ad without the second d ofcourse #autocorrect
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 7, 2013
Well, some issues with poisoned milk, drugged cycle racing, and lethal contraception… RT @paragoalie what's going on in Awesomeville, NL?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 9, 2013
Besides that, the bad weather is always an interesting point of discussion here 😉
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 9, 2013
This is what I planned to eat for desert http://t.co/dPUkt4M14i
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 9, 2013
… but then I remembered my fridge, with these in it #easychoice #lovemyfridge http://t.co/9qsJ4sicc1
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 9, 2013
Haha, sorry guys, I rely too much on autocorrect and I obviously was very distracted by those cupcakes #desert #dessert 🙂
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 9, 2013
Enjoying a cup of coffee on my own; my daughter is still sleeping! I could get used to these kinds of Sundaymornings…
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
On the programme today: swimming. The pool is probably where I feel best, being the walrus I am at the moment… 🙂 #pregnant #35weeks
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
The next Netherlander is @pjvr , who will probably tweet a lot more than I did last week 🙂
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
Thanks, I'm not a very exciting tweep I think, but liked it to connect with so many people. RT @tentangEropa good job, You're nice person
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
🙂 RT @jonathanavt Curators are supposed to tweet incessantly. I'm calling the police. 😉
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
Have fun! RT @pjvr i think you did a Nice job though. Excited to take over:)
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
Although this evening isn't over yet, I'm saying goodbye already. In my case, being pregnant means that I'm starting to get tired at 22h.
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
It's absolutely boring and I don't like it at all, but since I'm addicted to reading before I go to bed, now is the time to do so.
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
I'm reading Nicci French at the moment, by the way. A typical 'whodunnit': very relaxing and it takes my mind off everyday life.
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
A couple of weeks ago, I read Fifty Shades of Grey. Thought it was awful! And I don't mean the sex in it, but the way it was written!
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
Am I the only one who's totally flabbergasted about the fact that the Fifty Shades-trilogy was such a hype?
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
I'm imagining how the 50-shades audiobook must sound; laughing while trying to 🙂 @lastbilslesbian @livsnaturist
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
So, if you do want to continue conversation with me, you can via @EefHermans . With a little break mid April, when my son will be born 🙂
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
Good luck to all the other curators who are expecting babies! 🙂
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
Have to quit right now, bye everyone!
— NLers: Tim (@Netherlanders) March 10, 2013
